At the weekend my internet connection went down for about 5 hours. I wanted to do some work from home so this was not good news. These things never happen when you don’t need them do they.
I decided to connect my iPad2 to my iPhone to make use of my data package through my mobile phone provider.
I was up and running in about 3 minutes and I thought you might find this helpful. So here we go. I’ve included step by step pictures and highlighted the options to make it easy to follow.
You can access the internet wherever there is a 3G signal available. No need to spend money on data dongles for your laptop if you have a good data package on your mobile.
This saves on another SIM contract or purchasing a pay-as-you-go dongle.
It also means you can buy the cheaper iPad (without sim) if you have an iPhone already. This saves you having to take out another SIM contract for your new iPad, it also saves you £100 on buying the 3G capable iPad.
